According to recent news, that a Man Utd duo purchased for £138 million are up for sale.
A second site has echoed the гᴜmогs that a Man Utd duo purchased for £138 million are up for sale, and Erik ten Hag is considering a third Ajax raid that will make him unpopular in Amsterdam.
When the Dutchman became manager of Manchester United, he didn’t spend any time raiding his old team Ajax. Before grabbing Antony in the waning seconds of the summer transfer window, Ten Hag pillaged his former team for center-half Lisandro Martinez.
The two departures were a part of a truly Ԁιꜱаꜱtrous transfer window for Ajax.
In addition to losing two of its star players to United, they also lost well-known figures like Andre Onana, Noussair Mazraoui, Nicolás Tagliafico, Ryan Gravenberch, and Sébastien Haller during the same transfer window.
As a result, Ajax is currently no longer in first place in the Eredivisie as usual.
AZ Alkmaar and PSV Eindhoven are threatening to unseat Ajax from the final Champions League qualifying spot in the Dutch division, where Feyenoord presently hold the lead.
Nonetheless, a number of sources claim that Ten Hag might further hurt his former team by luring yet another star player away from Ajax.
Man Utd and Ajax to do business again?
Man Utd has been actively scouting Mohammed Kudus, a 22-year-old forward, as 90min previously reported.
The Ghanaian international is incredibly versatile and can operate in a number of positions, including up front, as a No. 10, or in box-to-box midfield. In 34 games for Ajax this season, he has scored 17 goals and provided four assists in all competitions.
Football Insider offered their opinion as well, stating that United had contacted Kudus’ camp first. According to the source, the frontman is valued at almost £48 million.
TalkSPORT has now given credence to the гᴜmогs by reporting that Kudus is on Ten Hag’s list of potential summer transfer targets.
The Dutch leader is believed to be ‘eyeing another raid’ on Ajax, while United’s interest in Tottenham’s Harry Kane is also underlined. Kane and Victor Osimhen of Napoli were previously listed by The Telegraph as United’s top two summer striker targets.
Both, though, will be challenging to sign, and the fact that they are each valued at well over £100 million makes deals extremely challenging to complete.
Kudus would be a more affordable option, though talkSPORT don’t rule out the possibility of signing him alongside one of the more well-known targets rather than merely in place of them.
Two Red Devils on the chopping block
In that case, Man United would need to make significant profits from player sales in order to maintain financial stability. In that regard, talkSPORT confirms the earlier assertion made by the Manchester Evening News that two well-known players are up for grabs.
The two in question are Captain Harry Maguire and Anthony Martial, and Ten Hag is “ready to cash in” on them.
In 2019, Maguire cost Leicester £80 million, while Martial cost Manchester United £36 million (with potential add-ons to bring the total to £58 million).
Maguire has lost his place as a regular starter this term with Ten Hag favouring a Varane-Martinez partnership. Martial, on the other hand, is unable to remain usefully fit.
The Daily Mail earlier stated that United is prepared to only recuperate about £40 million, or about half of what they spent for Maguire. Given his ongoing injury problems, it is much harder to determine Martial’s market value.
