Ten Hag advised to ignore Man Utd advances for Osimhen, Kane and sign ‘ideal’ alternative this summer.
A striker who one observer believes would be the perfect addition to Manchester United has been predicted to be chosen over prospective deals for Harry Kane and Victor Osimhem.
Wout Weghorst’s contract isn’t likely to be extended, thus United are looking for a new No. 9 this summer. The big Dutchman, himself a temporary addition, will be returned to parent club Burnley when his loan period is through.
Given the widespread expectation that United will contend for the title the next year, Ten Hag is looking for a new and consistent source of goals. In order to accomplish this goal, it is likely that Ten Hag will be given permission to make significant purchases during this summer.
It would appear that Ten Hag is on the hᴜnт for a new right defender, as well as a new attacker and a central midfielder of the highest caliber. These deals will almost certainly cause significant harm to United’s finances.
It has been reported that United will sell up to six players during the summer in order to improve their budget, which will make such transfers somewhat less difficult.
Nonetheless, there is a significant increase in the amount of curiosity over the players that Ten Hag is working hard to sign. As a new striker might cost the club a record quantity of money, rᴜмors are emerging regarding who United would recruit as they continue to spread.
Harry Kane is one of the names that comes up regularly in connection. If he does not sign a renewal of his Spurs contract before it expires in the summer of 2024, he will significantly enhance the likelihood that he will leave the club. But, given how things now stand, it appears that the England captain will most likely go with Tottenham.
Victor Osimhen is the name of one of the other candidates. But, the striker for Napoli will want for a large price, and it is expected that it will be higher than £120m.
Man Utd is counseled to switch to Tammy Abraham
Alan Hutton, a pundit, suggests a different name even though names like Goncalo Ramos and Benjamin Sesko are occasionally considered.
Tammy Abraham, in his opinion, has all the skills required to meet United’s needs up front.
In 34 games for Roma this year, Abraham has seven goals and five assists. Yet, there are growing rᴜмors that if a sizable deal comes in, they might sell the former Chelsea striker.
Hutton recently told Football Insider that he believes Abraham would be “ideal” for Manchester United.
I truly like him, the man declared. I have firsthand experience with him because I worked with him at Aston Villa.
“Not only on the field, but also off it. He puts a lot of effort into growing every day on the practice field.
He may do incredibly well for a team like Man United, who are in desperate need of a number nine like him.
Hutton believes United could score a deal with a player valued at about £60m, which is almost half of Osimhen’s price.
Tammy has the necessary experience to blend in and succeed at Old Trafford, and he wouldn’t cost as much as Osimhen, the coach continued.
Abraham is not likely to be United’s first choice despite being a fraction of the price and having a contract at Roma that runs until the summer of 2026.
So, before Abraham, the club will undoubtedly look for trades for Osimhen, Kane, and even Ramos.
The club will be cautious about some of the associated costs, and the moves for the other three will undoubtedly set a record expense for the club.
With 34 goals scored in 84 games for Roma, he has an impressive strike rate of one goal per 2.5 games.
